Tipsy at 3 months old is best friends with Tawny. Tipsy hopes Tawny will find a youth who really loves her.
Tawny is a beautiful, dark buckskin filly who loves to be petted, so she needs to go to the home of a kid who needs to love, pet, train, show, and ride a beautiful, buckskin filly. What a fantastic birthday present for someone special!

Appearance
Tawny is feminine, but definitely not petite. She's going to be a good-sized mare. On her picture page, see how tall she is at 4 months old compared to her mother. Her buckskin body is dappled and her legs, head, mane, and tail are black. Please do not consider riding her on an elk hunt or she will be mistaken for an elk by one of ‘those' hunters and shot out from under you. She's a real looker with her nice head and bright eyes. You may have trouble with your show ring competitors (and their fillies) being jealous of the way you and Tawny look.

Disposition &Training
Tawny can be caught and haltered in the pasture. She is gentle and loving except when it comes to snakes and loose lead ropes. The first time she dragged a loose lead rope around, it attacked her and she struck and killed it 10 times with real determination. That's when we learned how agile she really is. We just know she had a nasty encounter with one of our local rattlers. Her second time with the dragging rope was less aggressive. Now she's totally aware of the rope, but not threatened. Tawny is so quiet and easy going, she's just a pleasure to work with.    Her training is progressing smoothly and rapidly. By the time you come to look at her, she will be tieing, having her feet trimmed, and being groomed in the stanchion.

Prospects
Tawny will definitely be a Halter horse prospect. She also has the size, breeding, and agility to excel at any performance event. She has the disposition we all dream about for young riders (and for wannabe older riders who want to fearlessly show off in noisy parades).

We really don't want to sell her, but the banker has started making rude comments about the number of ‘great' horses we are feeding and the size of our loan payment.

Have a Good Day!
