Mr. Turner is a well-balanced gelding with
plenty of speed. He is very quick and fluid. He is showy with an outstanding
head and excellent confirmation. He will be a one-person horse when he learns
to trust you, so don't plan on loaning him to your friends or brother-in-law.
Appearance
Mr. Turner is a 2003 sorrel gelding standing at 15-0 H. He has just enough chrome on him and is dark enough sorrel to catch the eye. He has long muscles and a wide rear end. This horse will be massive when mature.
He may grow another inch, but will never be considered a tall horse. He is very
correct in all muscling and bone structure. At this time he is roached because
of a mane disaster. He looks good roached, but his full mane is beautiful. He
also has a long, wavy tail.
Disposition & Training
Mr. Turner has amazing natural instincts and abilities. He has a natural stop (just like his daddy) and he has always
done it. He plants all 4 feet and put his butt in the dirt when you tell him
‘Whoa' off a trot or lope. In addition, when he jumps to avoid snakes or holes,
he never puts himself or the rider in harms way. He is very nimble and quick. He
is alert and walks out when ridden.
However, his personality is one of a kind.
He likes to work cattle, but he is absolutely the shyest horse around people we
have ever seen. But just because he is shy, don't think he does not have a
willingness to please. Unfortunately, right now he loves Greg, our trainer,
more than he loves us, so Greg doesn't want us to sell him. Once you gain Mr.
Turner's trust, you also gain his undying love and he is your horse only forever. Whoever buys this horse needs
to be kind to him because he has never been hit (regardless of why the
so-called experts will say he is shy) or disciplined other than by voice
command. He has never bucked when ridden, but he does enjoy a romp across the
hills with the other horses.
Prospects
With Mr. Turner's appearance and natural ability, he will an excellent prospect for both the show ring and rodeo, especially in Western Pleasure, reining, and roping.
